1. What We Collect
We collect account information you provide directly: name, email, phone, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), role, and role-specific profile fields (bio, portfolio links, specializations, business details). We also collect operational data generated by using the platform: task and project content, messages between users, financial records (credit purchases, payouts, balances), reference links you submit, and technical data such as IP address (used for rate-limiting login/signup attempts) and session cookies.
2. How We Use It
We use this data to operate the marketplace: matching Clients and Freelancers, processing payments and payouts, sending transactional notifications (task updates, payout confirmations, verification codes), and preventing abuse. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
Redbee relies on a small number of infrastructure providers to operate: Supabase (database hosting), Brevo (transactional email delivery), the Anthropic API (used only for the optional AI brief-enhancement feature, processing the text you submit to that feature), and Vercel Analytics (aggregate, privacy-respecting usage analytics — no cross-site tracking). Each of these providers processes only the data necessary for their specific function.
4. Data Retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for financial recordkeeping and dispute resolution. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support; some financial records may be retained longer where required for accounting purposes.
5. Your Rights
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account, by contacting us through the Contact page or your in-app support ticket.
6. Cookies
Redbee uses a single first-party session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
